Livelihood
The Livelihood program provides bicycles to vulnerable communities to improve access to essential services including education, health, water and markets. The program promotes economic activity and sustainable saving practices, enabling self-sufficiency and allowing households to afford education, healthcare, and basic needs.
Through cycle to school, bicycle ambulances, and self-help groups, FABIO strategically weaves together education, health, and economic empowerment—discover how bicycles transform vulnerable communities.
Environment
The Environment program promotes sustainable environmental practices by advocating for non-motorised transport solutions. As motorised transport increasingly contributes to climate change, the program works to shift community behavior and policy priorities towards cycling.
Through car-free days, bicycle rentals, and advocacy campaigns, FABIO mobilises policymakers and citizens to embrace sustainable transport—discover how communities can reclaim their streets and reduce their carbon footprint.
Governance
The Governance program increases citizens’ participation in electoral processes while strengthening the accountability and responsiveness of duty bearers and civil servants. The program is built on the belief that educating citizens about their rights enables them to hold leaders accountable and demand better service delivery.
